Sorry for the wait, but I have been to busy skiing! As you probably know, I jumped 60.5 meters and ended up on the 14th place just .7 of the meter short of finals. Not a very big distance, but I have been struggling with jumping lately, so score above 60 meters is pretty satisfying. Especially since I did it on my fourth jump after a re-ride due to a slow boat speed: LUCKY ME!

On Friday I stood up both of my trick passes and tricked 9290. This result was enough to get me in the finals, so I will be competing on Saturday (Tricks) and Sunday (Slalom). I got TWLBB no credit and I didn't do my hardest run. Just like Cory says: Just gotta make the cuts, and then go big in the finals! Well that's the plan on Saturday. Go big or go home.

There will be a free webcast during the weekend. You can either watch it on this page or follow the link to the official website. The show starts at 12 (Russian time) with women's slalom, followed by men's trick, and women's jump, sooo stay tuned and fingers crossed! Also don't forget to check out couple of my shots from past two days here.

Long day at the lake today again! After several technical difficulties, we were able to finish only men's and women's slalom preliminary rounds; therefore, the schedule for the next two days has been slightly changed. There will be all the jumping done tomorrow, and men's tricks got pushed to Friday. Otherwise, very good day for the team Czech. Me and Danny both made the finals with 4@39 and 3@39 respectively, so we will be able to do some more swerving on the Volga river on Sunday. Czech out the slalom pictures here and the official results here.

Whoa. Long day today at the lake. Martin Kolman was the first Czech team member to ski on the Volga river. He ripped 3@35. Unfortunately, he didn't get a good enough one ball with the decent tail wind. Other than that, we have seen the women's tricks. Check out who made the finals here.

Tomorrow is a big day for me as I will slalom and trick! Volga river looked pretty unpredictable today, so hopefully it will be alright! Keep your fingers crossed! I also uploaded some new pictures, sooooo Check 'em out!

Today was officially the first day of the championship. We have seen some slaloming and jumping. For the official results, please follow the iwwf website. You can also find live results and future starting lists on the same site. I went to the ski site today to watch Alex slaloming (She ripped 3.5 @ 35!). The weather was great and the conditions were pretty good with a decent head wind into the ramp. We suppose to have another great day tomorrow, but on Wednesday we expect some rain.

Last night we also had the opening ceremony, followed with the Swan Lake ballet. Check it all out in my picture gallery! That's about it for today. I'm going to get me some cheese, beefy, greasy, .... something.

Hey there! As most of you probably already know, this years World Championship is being held in Dubna, Russia. The tournament starts on Monday; however, I arrived to Russia couple of days early to get some official practice in. After the airport pick up, we spent roughly 3 hours traveling on the small Russian roads to our final destination: Dubna.

Exhausted from the 30+ hours trip (thanks to Delta for all the delays), I checked into the official hotel and couldn't wait to hit the sheets. My hopes for a nice and comfortable sleep quickly vanished as I opened the front door from our "apartment." :)

It actually looks much better on the pictures. On the right is our all in

one room: Take a crap, shower, and brush your teeth at the same time!

Despite the hot and humid air in my room, I was able to get some sleep. Next morning, the whole Czech team woke up bright and early to go get some skiing done on the Volga River (Czech team minus Danny boy because he had to go back to the airport to get his bags which didn't arrive the first time). We did get some skiing done: 2 passes in slalom, 2 passes in tricks, and 1 jump. Slalom is okay, but rolly. Wakes are huge for tricks, and it was to windy to do anything on the jump. Good stuff! :)

The World Championship officially starts tomorrow. I will be posting some daily updates, pictures, and other cool stuff, so make sure you stay tuned to this site! This should be a lot of fun!

Oh ya and here is the schedule of the events: Schedule

UPDATE:

Just got back from the site and the team captain meeting. We have an opening ceremony tonight at 10pm. Below you can see the view of the site. More pictures to come later!
