My Life EN

Lot's of things happening during the past few weeks! As you probably know I am back in school. Two more semesters and I should be done with my Masters! Can't wait. This semester has been the hardest by far, so I don't really have much time left for skiing, and especially not for updating this site. Sorry! Here are the latest news from my life:

ULM WINS THE COLLEGIATE NATIONALS

Yep. After last years loss, the ULM Water Ski Team won the title again, and brought the Nationals trophy back home where it belongs to. I have been in the ski for 4 years and won the title four times. This year, I was fortunate enough to be back at the Nationals with my team -- even though only as a graduate assistant. This was completely different experience, but still a lot of fun! Congrats to the ULM Ski Team for winning the 23rd title and especially Zack Worden for setting the new collegiate jump record -- 195 feet. Check out the ULM's press release here.

COLLEGIATE WATERSKIING GOES VIRAL

Okay. So I witnessed this. Kyle Dammayer form the Ohio State University put his body on the line on his second jump. Please check out the video below. Tony Lightfoot uploaded his video on Youtube and that's when the craziness started. Kyle's crash now has over 130,000 views and was featured on national TVs such as ESPN. Big shoot out to Tony and Kyle!

MASTERS???

Sooo, I am still not sure about this, but whatever. I checked the 53rd US Masters qualifying criteria (check 'em out here), and apparently top 7 athletes on the Elite Ranking List make it to the next year's Masters....... So I checked the Elite Ranking List (check it here), and it looks like I am on the 7th spot. If you put those two together, it means that I will have a chance to slalom in the next years Masters!!!!!!!! I couldn't be more excited! Hopefully, the criteria won't change by the time US Masters rolls around!

And that's about it. I promised I will not procrastinate anymore, so I will be adding some more stuff to my site over the next few weeks. Stay tuned and play loud!
